We provide educational and healthcare opportunities for poor and disadvantaged children and their parents; to help alleviate hunger, and to work to reduce illiteracy, poverty, and poor health conditions in Ghana.

The organization was founded in 2006 and obtained its tax exempt status in January of 2007.
The Adakum Foundation is proud to provide direct support for the following institutions in Ghana as of July 2007:
Education
The school goes from the nursery to JSS (8th grade); and there are 325 children (170 girls and 185 boys) in the school as of January 2007(www.l-amemorialacademy.org).
Education
Located at Nkotunsua-Dunkwa in the Obuasi/Ashanti Region. There are 314 children (138 girls and 176 boys) in the school as of January 2007.
Welfare
The only recognized orphanage in the Obuasi/Ashanti Region. The Orphanage was founded by an Australian minister, Rev. Louise Timothy. There are 210 children, some were abandoned at birth, or parents died of AIDS or are children of single destitute mothers.

Thanks to the Adakum Foundation's feeding program, our students no longer have to worry about going hungry during the school day, this has impacted their overall health and concentration in class.
